KNOW YOUR WORTH

I was trying to compare the life of the christian today to some of the declarations in the Bible. It actually got to a time I couldn't help but burst out with laughter and I think its worth sharing it with you.

In DEUTERONOMY CHAPTER 28:13, all that was required of us was to keep the commandments of God and we shall never be the tail or beneath but shall always be the head and above. What do we see today? Are you first in all the competitions you enter into? Do people treat you first? Do you always feel you are second to someone?

Have you prayerfuly read LUKE 12:22 - 30? If no, please read now because you are missing something. We are told not to think of what we will eat or wear but I see and hear christians praying for food and other things already provided.

Why do we always go about following miracles when miracles are rather to follow us only when we believe? Sometimes it is interesting when you visit prayer camps. Read MARK 16:17-20.

Why are we still strugling with the mountains in our lives? We are to speak to the mountain and it will move but do they really move? The mountain in your life may be your problems or difficulties etc. What do you think is left? Read MATTHEW 17:20 if your mountain is not moving.

Lastly, we are being asked to let our light shine before men so that in the end, God will be glorified. Simple but what do we see today? Man takes all the glory to himself anytime he does something for his/her neighbour. Instead of us to say God is wonderful and good, we sometimes hear people say "the pastor is good, the pastor has done well, the pastor has healed me etc" Read MATTHEW 5:16.

Am I telling the truth here? Which part of your life needs correction with respect to these?

WONDERFUL LESSONS FROM JOB - PART TWO

This is the concluding part of our lessons from the book of Job. The first part was a blessing unto me and I believe you were blessed too. Now, as a woman what do you say to your husband in times of difficulties? Do you say words of motivation or your words are full of pain? Look at the wife of Job. When things were going on well with all those riches, she never cursed God or adviced her husband to curse God. Of what quality are you my dear woman? How useful are you to your husband and how seasoned are the words that come out from your mouth? How did Job descride how his wife was speaking as in the chapter 2 versus 10 and I want to ask how your husband, friend or whoever you are in a relationship with describe your speach?
A quick look at the chapter one again versus 22, we learn that in all the calamities and troubles, Job never sinned nor charged God foolishly. It is quite supprising how we are quick to blame even God on the little thing that goes wrong in our life. When you read on, you realize that instead of Job cursing God, he cursed the day he was born. God knows us all. He knows our weakness and our strenghts. Some of the troubles we go through in life may rightly come from the devil anyway but the devil sought for permision from God. Don't let God down by turning away from Him in hard times. He loves us and will keep us. Also, let us be wifes and friends of substance. We should not only expect good things and blessings from God. God will never give us loads we cannot carry and trust Him to always give us a helping hand in life. You will be amazed at your reward.

WONDERFUL LESSONS FROM JOB

The story of Job in the Bible is a story with lot of lessons. From now till somewhere in march, I would like us to learn some of the lessons found in Job so we apply it to our chrisitan lifes.
We shall start from Job chapter 1. In this chapter, the Bible teaches us that Job was a perfect and upright man and one that feared God and eschewed evil.What a man? Anyway, you can see that he was blessed with children and a lot of animals and the Bible tells us he was the greatest of all the men of the east (vs 3). The chapter 1 talks mainly about his wealthiness to the begining of his suffering. The questions and the lessons in this chapter are;
1. The bible describes him as a perfect and upright man that eschewed evil(vs 1). What of us? How upright and perfect are we and how smart are we to eschew evil in todays modern world?
2. Imagine having all those riches and animals and being the greatest man in America, Asia, Afica, your office or family or wherever you come from. How will you feel? Are you going to be proud? Will you help the poor or you will keep them to yourself?
3. How often do you pray for your sons? Look at vs 5. Job knew in the midst of joy, his sons may say things ungodly so he made sacrifices and prayed on their behalf. Do we do that? How often do we pray on behalf of our family, children, employers, friends etc?
4. Should satan go before God to ask permission to destroy us, how sure do we think God will be about us? Can God boldly give us out for a second without us turning our back on Him? Is our faith that strong that God can use us for an "experiment" as He did to Job? I don't know your name now but can God say to satan, hast thou considered my servant William, Worlasi or daughter Natalie, Josephine etc? Just put your name there and ask yourself. Can God withness about your faithfulness to Him to the devil?
5. Look at the last verse in chapter 1. In times of trouble and difficulties, what do you say to God? The first thing Job did was to worship God after which he said "Naked I come........" (vs 20-22). What would have been your first word or action if you loose all those riches and children?
