"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; yea woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel."—1 Corinthians 9:16.

LET THE SUN STAND STILL
Life indeed is interesting. Not all times are smooth and the same way definitely not all times are bad hence at every minute we have something to thank God for.
One thing we definitely need in life is to pray to let the sun stand still on our lives. Look at the sun very well and you will notice that first, it gives light. Thinking through the book of Joshua and after listening to the hymn "Jesus Shall Reign where'ere the sun", I concluded that indeed there are some things man cannot do in the evening. You can bear with me that humans are so limited. We are limited in so many ways. Reading Joshua 10:1-15, we saw how Joshua on the day the Lord gave the Armorites over to the people of Israel prayed for the sun to stand still. Joshua saw that when the sun goes down, there wouldn't be any light to locate the enemies. The fighters of Israel will therefore start fighting against each other heance he prayed forthe sun to stand still. God created heaven and earth as well as day and night but on that day He made the day rule over the night. The enemy loves darkness, yes. It tries to flourish in darkness. I am beginning to feel and think that maybe the Armorites would have either run away etc but Joshua saw the need to ask the controller of the Sun to make it stand still till victory is won.
Its time men start praying to God to let the sun rise and set no more. We ought to either change our prayer topics or add some to it. We need to pray till there is peace in our countries. You and I need to be the sun on our families, our schools, work places, neighborhood, marriages and relationships. Life people say is a battle but I think they are preparations God want us to go through for a better tomorrow. We therefore need to be strong and pray without ceasing. Pray and stand still till the battle is won and till every enemy is destroyed.
When the sun continue to stand still, you are able to locate the enemy in its hiding place. You are able to take control and fight victoriously because the enemy hates light. Its so sweet when the sun rises and sets no more over our lives, marriages, education, finances etc.
When it matters most, when we call on God, when we trust our ways to Him and walk with Him, He is able to do all things exceedingly above what we think off. When the sun stands still in your life, you keep fighting on. While Joshua’s men were fighting, Joshua
prayed to God. He asked God to make the sun stand still until they had won the victory.
Believe it or not, God made the sun stop in the middle of the day and delayed it going
down about a full day.
God listened to Joshua and granted his prayer request. Now remember that Joshua had
recently done wrong. However, God has heard Joshua ask for forgiveness and God erased
the sin. Joshua learned his lesson from his mistake. He talked and listened to God and did
what He wanted.
Stand still and fight till victory is won.
Let us pray, let us hold on, let us keep the faith, let us pray the sun stands still on our jobs, marriages, relationships, works, christian life, families, countries etc.
Stay blessed.

ITS REALLY BEEN A WHILE..... NOT SMOOTH, NOT ROUGH
Happy New Year to all my readers. Honestly I have missed you all and a lot have gone on since the last time I posted a blog. I keep getting the feeds and I know when you pay me a visit on the site. Thank you all for the continued support and prayers.
Life has really been interesting. The Lord has been good to me and He is still faithful even though I can not say I was faithful throughout the year 2011.
I changed jobs somewhere half of the year and interestingly I am back with the company I left. A lot has happened but in all we give thanks to God. In December on the 9th I lost an uncle from my fathers side. It was sad and as if that wasn't enough, I lost another uncle from my mothers side the next day. I believe God knows best even though the two have been sick and were admitted at the hospital for a while.
By Gods grace I am back and I am grateful to Him for seeing the rest of us into the new year and also for seeing you my readers and valuable blog followers into the new year 2012 as well.
I wish you all the very best in the year under Gods guidance and grace and may His mercies never depart from you.
Stay blessed and be a blessing to others as well.

TAKING A STEP OR MAKING A MOVE
Wherever I went to, thank God I have found my roots and I am back to my blogging. I miss blogging and miss all my readers and I am sure everybody is doing well.
Whiles I was away, there was this thing I learnt about the today's person or christian. Our refusal to take a step. Many at times, we are used to standing at one place or sitting down without moving. The fact that we are Christians does not mean everything will come to us like manna dropping from Heaven. Sure I believe God is still in His miracle doing day and there is nothing too hard for Him to do but WE MUST TAKE A STEP OR MAKE A MOVE.
Hopefully we all remember the parable of the prodigal son. If we have forgotten, please refer to Luke chapter 15 vrs 11 - 32. This is a clear example of what I am taking about. We must move in life. My current state is not the best, your current state is not the best. Be it financial, emotional, family, marriage, education etc I believe you can do better. We should not sit and agree to a situation when things are not going well in life. The prodigal son took a step to go back to the father. Sure maybe the father or brother he left behind will one day go and search for him but when was that going to happen? He decided to take a step, to move to his father's house once more and even at that distance, his father aw him.
One amazing thing was that his father also started walking towards him. That is what I am talking about. When you take a step in life, your helpers also take a step towards you to make things easier. It's natural. Don't sit and think the days will roll by and one day you will surely meet your helper. No. Make a move, let him see you are serious. My pastor usually says "when you make a move, mountains are removed" and it is true. The troubles in life, the things that seems to be impossible are there like that because you have decided not to make a move. Move and they will also move, make a way for you to walk through to your dreams. Remember the Bible says the devil is like a roaring lion. It did not say the devil is a roaring lion. So it means it tries to pretend it is what it is not. The troubles you see are pretenders. They want to see your reaction and when you react positively, they see you as no push overs. That is what I am talking about.
Look at something in the Exodus chapter 14 vrs 15 - 18 when the people of Israel were crossing the red sea. God told Moses " And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward...........". Its time you put a hold on talking and make a move. Stop crying to God and make a move. God told them to go forward. Sure He saw the red sea but He told them to go forward and when they did, the red sea also moved. That is the God we serve. Look, your helper is just behind the mountain waiting for you to move. Make a move today, don't sit down at one place for everything is possible with God.
Take a step, make a move and trust God with the rest for when you make a move, the mountains shall be removed.
