THE TRAFFIC LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

Gradually christmas is fast approaching. There are soo many decorations going on here in Ghana on the streets and in front of offices. The markets are also becoming busy gradually with some weather early in the morning [I dont know whether to call it hazy, fog or dew] because I have never seen the snow fall here in Ghana. Don't laugh, am serious. Hahahahahah.

Anyway, this is a traffic light to help celebrate this years christmas and make it a memorable one to you and those around you.

RED - STOP

Yes, stop. The christmas is fast approaching. You are planning to do shopping within this week and during next week. Just stop for a minute and consider those around you. Your neighbours who can't afford one kilo or cup of rice. During this festive season, we usually share with those we love alone. Those families who give us in return alone but this time let us look beyond them. Search within the church, your school, neibourhood etc and humbly identify those who are less privilaged, those who can't afford it and make them happy. Remember Jesus Christ came to save those who are lost and not those who are already saved. Lets give to those who can't afford and put them in our plans as we do the shopping. Buy that extra cup of rice, extra litre of cooking oil, extra pound of meat and extra gift for that special person. Put them in your plans as you do your shopping.

YELLOW/AMBER - WAIT OR GET READY

After identifying them, get ready to make a move. Put some things together. They need some clothes, shoes, food, some need money, shelter etc. To others, love. Simply telling them I love you or wishing them a merry christmas is enough to make them happy and to give then a sense of belonging. Clean that boys quarters behind your house and put a shelter over someones head. Get ready to make a move or simply prepare. Put the things togethe and show some love.

GREEN - GO

This is the time. Make a move and go in all directions possible. Take a step for they are waiting. Reach out to them and show some love. Call them home and give them some hope. You know them. Some have complained to you about how they see it impossible to celebrate this christmas due to lack of money or other needs. You know you can provide. Why not help them? Make someone happy. The best way to celebrate this christmas is to show some love to someone. Put that smile of their face and wish them a merry christmas.

Regards and stay blessed as we prepare for this wonderful time. I can see a blessed time ahead this christmas and I will tell you all I did during the christmas. Did I say all? Just watch out.

AS WE GET CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS,.....................

[Matt 6:33,34] Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

I took my self back memory lane when I was a kid. During those days, when christmas gets near we have in mind the usual time that our christmas goodies come from our parents so we usually make our request early before the deadline and when they don't come, the disturbing starts. We disturb our parents and sometimes cry especially when we see our neighbours displaying their christmas presents. Hahaha, that was then.

With about two weeks to christmas, there are troubles in homes now. Some parents are thinking very hard where to get solutions to making the family happy especially the kids. Ask any child what he or she needs for Christmas as the list he or she will provide is more than even what the elderly needs. When I grew up,I began to understand what our parents go through. The questions they have to ask themselves as in the bible verse above. As the festive season approaches, parents are asking similar questions. I don't know what actually happens in the developed countries but in the developing countries, you will understand.

Looking at the word we have as our introduction brings us hope but this can only be achieved by faith. It is time we stop worrying about what we will eat, drink, wear and even where to get funds to paint the house. Times are difficult as the world sees it but there is a Father who understands our needs. Parents, keep the faith in God. Stop worrying your self with these. They are added benefits. Remember the Bible said we should seek first the Kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto us. God knows we need shelter, food, drinks and clothing etc. Stop worrying and trust God to provide.
Children or my fellow brothers and sisters, let us stop putting pressure on our parents as the time approaches. They already have you in mind. They are thinking about your needs as well. Pray for them instead and when the gift or presents doesn't come at the time expected, understand them. As far as you are alive, Christmas will always and forever come and meet you. Thinking everyday will only make you see your problems bigger than the God you serve.

There is no need to worry, there is no need to think. We are bearing a needless pain all because we do not carry everything to God in prayers as the song writer said.Your heavenly father already knows that you need them and He has made provisions for them. He will provide and make a way. Only trust in Him.

Stay blessed as we enter into the festive mood. Also look out for the coming weeks as we read some series of articles reviewing the year 2010. God bless you.

WHY WORRY?

That is life. Sometimes, I think its funny but it is worth thinking off . It is nature and this is what I call the mystery of life. I have never stopped to think but it unfolds every second. Some of which we are witnesses, others we only hear on the world news networks.

In this world;
Whiles bush burning is becoming the order of the day in some countries, natives of other countries are busily planting trees with the aim of greening their environment.

Whiles companies are laying off because of credit crunch, others are employing.

Whiles some people are sad, others are busily making merry.

Some relationships are broken whiles others are busily falling in love.

Whiles people are afraid to build because of the earthquake in Haiti, Dubai now boast of the world tallest building.

Whiles there are wars in some countries, other countries are busily signing peace agreements.

There are shortages of water in other countries whiles others experience flood and are fed up with God.

People are being taken to the morgue or mortuary whiles others are happily returning home from the maternity ward with their newly born bady.

Whiles some married couples are childless and their marriage is about to hit the rock, another couple have about six to eight children but they are all disrespectful and a nuissance to the community in which they live.

Others are dying whiles new ones are being born.

It can go on and on and on but never forget that whiles man continue to sin, God keeps loving us and forgiving us.
That is life. What we need is patience and trust in God.It may not go well for you today but trust God for a better tommorrow.
Its nice to wish for something but don't worry if you dont have it because you don't know what having that might have done to you. Trust God. He knows what you need at each and every second to put that smile on your face.

Why worry? Leave all to God and stop the thinking. God bless you.

CECE WINANS IN GHANA - WHAT HAPPENED!!!

As I said when I posted the rehearsal pictures, it was a day I will never trade for silver. Not even gold. What a day!!!!!

The programme went on well as planned and thanks to God. After the first one was cancelled, there were mixed feelings among everybody and we all doubted it when a new day was fixed. The question we asked was, how can you organise such a programe on mid-week? Will people even attend it? On wednesday, the programe was to start by 6pm but to the Glory of God, by 4pm, the venue was almost filled to capacity. People were already in a queue at the entrance waiting to get their tickets checked so they can enter.

THE AUDIENCE/ATTENDANCE
I can't describe it. The place was filled far above our expectations. It brought worshipers together. The supprise personality there was the former President of Ghana, Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings and according to him, the song that attracted him was Mercy said no. Also present were ministers of state. After the programe, politics was lost and both supporters of the ruling party and the opposition came together. That is the power of worship.

PERFORMANCE
Before Cece came on stage, local artist we on stage to perform. They performed to the Glory of God and placed us all in the mood waiting for Cece. Finally, she came out and for the noise and shouting, I can't really describe. She engaged the audience in a sing along. It was really a nice performance and to the Glory of God. Time spent there was never lost. The whole place was electrified and wished all my readers were present. The best testimony on the performance will be seeing it yourself but it was really a blessing.

AFTER PERFORMANCE
After the performance, she went to visit the Cape Coast castle on Thursday with the family and the team and was seen off at the airport but she promised to come anytime she is invited.
Big thanks to the Almighty God for making it possible. Thanks to the organisers, the Multimedia Group Limited and Adom 106.3 fm, Cece and her group, all the local artist, the media, the audience and all my blog readers.

SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET.

"Was this not the same man I saw beating his wife some few minutes ago? How come he is here leading the praises and worship session of the morning service" I am very sure we have all questioned the behaviour of our fellow brothers after they displayed two different ones.

Anyway, first of all, I agree we are all human and as my friend will always argue, the devil is at work but sometimes I think it is actually the "other side" of us. Simple and short, we all have skeletons in our closet. I don't want to talk about the arguement which says "its the devil" but let us clear our closet and take away the skeletons in there. Remember God testified about Job to the devil that there is no one perfect on earth like him[Job]. To me, God has searched through Jobs closet and He found no skeleton. There is nothing Job was hiding from the sight of God. Some of us are not open to our fellow men, we do hide things from our brothers and sisters, we hide things from our wifes and husbands, we do things in secret. What is it that you are hiding in that closet of yours? You can't hide it forever. Some of us are soo nice to people outside but when we get to our homes, its a different issue. What is it that is hanging in your closet that you are aware its not good but is not ready to let go? You may be hanging anger, disrespect, theft and a whole lot of things. All of these you don't do in public except when you are alone, when no one is watching. When you are outside, people use you as a reference but when you are alone, you know yourself you don't deserve that reference position. Why can't you simply display the same attitude, character etc that you display outside? Why can't you create that same sound environment you do create in town for others at home for your children, wifes, husbands parents etc? It is not being at church always but what you do when you put the Bible down is what am talking about. It is not what you do when your boss or manager is around but what you do or say in his or her absence is what am talking about and definately its not what you write on your blog that matters or what you do when you are behind the computer in the office with everyone around that matters but what you do with the computer alone in a room etc is what am talking about.

Our closets need a clean up, a shake up and a complete restructuring plan because they are simply "ditty". What we do in the open for others to see doesn't matter my brother, sister, father and my sweet mother, what we do when no one is watching is what matters.
God looks in the heart and not the outward appearance[Ist Samuuel 16:7]. The heart is your closet. What you plan or have in there no one knows and God is interested in that.
What do we have in our closet? Are our closets clean enough? Will people be happy with what we do in secret? Do you have skeletons in there?

God have mercy .

ABORTION

I remember very well, I was very young by then when I got pregnant. Yes don't be supprised, I got pregnant at an early age but its so sad I never gave birth to that baby. I aborted it.

This brings us to our topic for today; ABORTION. This kind of abortion am talking about is the only abortion that is carried out by both male and female. Let me ask you this simple question. Have you ever had a dream that you never lived up to? Yes, that is the abortion am talking about. Whaen I was young, I wanted to be a doctor but am ending up in the procurement feild now. I have killed that doctor dream. I have "aborted" it. So it is with many of us. We have all "aborted" dreams one way or the other.

Sometimes, we kill or abort the dreams either by our own sudden change of mind, by fear, negative thoughts and even those around us have trained themselves to be doctors ready to abort our dreams. Most of us even conceed defeat even before we take on the challenge. Words such as "No, I can't do this, I can't compete in this, I can't afford this, My certificate doesn't match up to his or hers, he or she is more beautiful than me, As for them, they come from a rich family,This is too difficult for someone like me" are all sharp blades and surgical knifes that are ready to help you abort your own dream if you give them the chance to.
Am not very matured but one thing I have known is that those dreams you once had were
natural. Following that dream might have made you great but you have aborted it.

Have a dream, follow it and make it a reality. You have no boundry around your power of imagination and dreaming. Dream big. Inject some positive thinking into your life, follow your dream and let nothing stop you. You don't have money so what? You are not hadsome and you don't have that certificate so what? Don't abort the dream. Live it and make it a reality because you don't know who is waiting for your invention and what help it will be for those around.

Have a blessed weekend and stay blessed.

A WORD FOR THE WEEKEND

During break time at the office, I just sat with a friend and with my phone in hand, I started reading through some of the old sms I have received from friends. One caught my attention and I really want to share it with all my blog readers. He took it from EXODUS 23 VRS 25 - 27 and it reads;

25.. Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,

26.. and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.

27.. "I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.

I hope this little word blesses you and gives you a reason to worship your God.
Have a nice weekend, take care, walk in His ways, stay focussed, be kind to those around you, remember me when you kneel to pray as I also remember you and more importantly trust in God for He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
God bless you.

Am out!!!!!!

FOOTSTEP

I live on the last floor of a four storey building and I must admit it is a nice scene to see when I stand in the window to watch the street in the evening whiles enjoying some cool breeze. On the other hand, it turns out to be a sad scene sometimes especially during weekends when I look down only to see bodies being marched to the cemetary for burial.
One question comes to mind whenever I see the dead being carried away. Whose footstep did they follow whiles they were alive and what footsteps did they leave behind? I want to ask us to ask ourselves whiles alive that whose footsteps are we following in life and what footsteps are we leaving behind?
With so many troubles, wars, premature death etc going on these days in our world, we must learn to live a life worthy of emulation as well as learn fron the right person.

Fathers are leaving footsteps for their sons and mothers for their daughters. Take a break and review your life. Review the path you have once trod. Your footsteps are there for you to make a review. Watch out for our footsteps are being watched closely by those behind us and those coming after us.
We are human and I know some of us will surely say we will make mistakes but please give a second thought about your actions or even about your thought before they turn into actions. What story are you telling about yourself now and what story are you going to tell about yourself when you are gone? I know it may not matter much and that one must live his or her own life but never forget that whatever we do in life afects someone in one way or the other.
Your footsteps will be used to follow you or to find out where you are one day. You think you can erase it? You can't my dear because you will stand before you do the cleaning and wherever you stand will surely be another footstep. The only person who can completely erase a footstep is God.

Becareful of what you do, say or even think. Your thought and actions some time back and even today have affected and is still affecting someone somewhere. My thought now on this blog is affecting a family or an individual somewhere and so will your comment.

Take care and have a blessed weekend and please becareful of the footsteps you are leaving behind.

Am out!!!!!

WHEN ANGRY

Anger is one thing that affects us so much in life. I want to ask this simple question;

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN ANGRY? or in other words, WHAT DO YOU DO TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER?

Some prefer to walk away from the scene. Others also will just speak their hearts out and be free. How do you control yours?

Lets share and help each other.

IS THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ASK FOR?

.....When He had come near, He asked him, "what do you want me to do?" He said, "Lord, that I may see again".[LUKE 18:35-43].

Other versions say, "that I might receive my sight". What an answer, how beautiful. This message dropped in me on my way to work this morning. We all have needs. Some of us have a tall list and it includes everything you can imagine or think of. I was trying to find out what people were requesting from God when they had the chance to do so and among those whose request took me into thinking was that of the blind man Jesus healed on His way to Jericho and that of Solomon. Sometimes, God knows very well what we need but He will ask again, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU"?

Are you prepared for such a question? Are you backing your request by FAITH? There is one thing I hear almost all blind men can do perfectly and that is finding the way to their mouth [Just by the way] but the blind Bartimaeus still wanted to see. Some of us are lucky now to have eyes but we still must ask for sight. "We see but we can't see". Its time we stop praying for money, etc and turn our request to other things. The question God is asking is, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU/WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" At first it appears that Jesus asked a seemingly ignorant question "What do you want me to do for you?" It seems to me it would have been intuitively obvious what the blind man wanted. But I think the point is to give this man an opportunity to ask in faith specifically what he wanted. At times our prayers are too vague. Let us learn to also be specific. "THAT I MAY SEE AGAIN" was the answer.

Solomon knew that to rule you will need so many things but when he was given the chance to ask for anything [I Kings 3:5], he said he he needed wisdom. That is simply what he need at that time and I love what God said and all the things He added unto Solomon [1Kings 3:12-13.

Am convinced and forced to say that most of our prayer request are not answered because their are either not specific, not backed by faith or we are asking for things we shouldn't be asking for. Stop the money, wealth and health prayer for a while, change the topic for after seeking first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, all and I mean all other things shall be added unto you. This man needed sight to literally follow Jesus better. What do you want that will help you to follow Jesus better? Don't be afraid to ask the Lord, nor be hindered by others who may discourage you from doing so.

Have a blessed weekend.

IT IS WELL

I have been out for some days now. I was occupied with family issues since I have to see to my sick dad.
My dad has been sick for some days now. He has been suffering from a severe headache caused by the swelling of a section of his gum and that has kept him out of the office for some days given him some sleepless nights as well.

By the grace of God he is feeling better now and was planning to go to work today as I was about to leave the house for work. I thank God for healing my dad and for how far He has brought my family.

Please remember my family in prayers anytime you go on your knees before the Throne of Mercy.

God bless you and enjoy the weekend ahead.

OPEN FORUM!

Okay, agreed and accepted in good faith. The CeCe Winans issue is gone and we only wait and pray the organizers put things together and fix a new date because we can't wait!!!

I want to ask a question here please. There are so many great men and women in the Bible with wonderful stories about their life styles and their encounter with God. From Daniel through Joseph, Sampson, Paul, David, Solomon, Abraham, Sarah, Racheal, Naomi, Ruth etc. I want to know; WHO IS YOUR BIBLICAL MENTOR AND WHY? Who in the Bible lead a life style which you recommend or like? I was discussing it in the office the other day I was amazed at the answers that came out. I know the life of Jesus Christ is second to none but aside Jesus, who made it to your list and why? Talking from his or her calling, his or her rise or fall in christianity, problems he or she faced and how he or she attacked or faced it.

Let me know your thoughts.

IN ALL THINGS, .........................

I actually wanted to post this update on friday but it was late to do so. I know many of you my dear readers will be waiting this morning to read something or view pictures about the show that would have brought me much joy over the weekend.

Unfortunately, am sad to inform you that due to flight problems, CeCe Winans could not make it to Ghana as earlier on announced. I know some might have heard it already but if you have not, then this is the reason I will not be able to get you any thing on CeCe. We were expecting her on friday evening but that wasn't meant to be. The event has been re-scheduled for another day and we look forward to that.

As the Bible said, in all things, we are encouraged to give thanks to God hence please lets put away the disappointment and say THANK YOU to God for He knows best.

Stay blessed and have a fruitful week.

NOT JUST THE FUN BUT LESSONS AS WELL (PART 3)

We are drawing curtains to a close this weekend and this happens to be the concluding part of our motivational lessons from the just ended world cup. So many titles came to mind as I write this post but after reading, you can give it a fitting title yourself.

Am sure you remember very well how Ghana was eliminated from the world cup. It was after that emotional game with Uruguay. I don't want to remember the game but I must still talk about it anyway. In life, those who come around you may be there for reasons including any of the following; Either to give you a helping hand and support you to achieve something meaningful(eg. some wifes and husbands), or to do everything possible to prevent you from achieving your ultimate( eg. Luiz Suarez). Fine, it was a competition but go by the rules. As you try to climb, people around you are seeking your downfall. There is a "Suarez" in our lives. He or she may be hiding at your work place, in your marriages, community, school or college, family or even in the church trying to do everything possible to prevent you from achieving that goal. Sometimes, their actions are so bitter and like the Ghana Uruguay game, they prevent you when you thought you were almost through. They are always looking for oppurtunities to bring you down.

The question I want to ask is that; Have you identified the "Suarez" in your life and if you have, what are you doing about him or her? Challenges come but they must be faced. Never run away from them. Identify them first, pray for them and know how to live with them. They have just one aim and that is to block you from hitting that target and taking that glory and I tell you that they will surely jubilate at your defeat. Shelley Long once said that "If you don't quit, and don't cheat, and don't run home when trouble arrives, you can only win".
I leave you with this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson which says "Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there are always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course or action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them".
I hope you enjoyed the lessons and thanks for reading. Stay blessed and have a successful weekend free from "Suarez".

NOT JUST FOR THE FUN BUT LESSONS AS WELL (PART TWO)

What a day I had at the office today? So hectic with little time to rest or even eat. Anyway, that doestn't prevent us from learning, motivating each other and helping ourselves climb to the top. We are continuing our studies on the motivational lessons we can derive from events during the summer world cup.

Did you realize most of the "big teams" we were all expecting to win got eliminated on the way? If we are to ask ourselves which team we had in mind to win, most of us would have voted for Brazil, Argentina, Italy, France etc simply because their team had players who were generally accepted to be "stars". I doubt if some of you and even myself would have voted for my own small country, Ghana to reach the quater finals. Anyway, in life, we are all competing for something in one way or the other. It can be an interview, a game etc. Some of us don't even believe in ourselves to make it. We trust and look forward to others making it at our own expense. Forget about the so called "big names". They are human beings like you. There are some of us who are always afraid when we find ourselves in competitions and we end up crowning the opposition or our fellow competitors as winners even days before the competition itself starts.

As said in 1st Corinthians 9:24, run in such a way that YOU may win the prize. Don't conclude looking at the way you started. It may be poor but look to the prize that lies ahead. Put in your maximum effort. For all you should know, those you expect to win will miss it or even be eliminated on the way. Horses and chariots are prepared for war but as the Bible said, victory lies with the Lord. Stop crowning others because of their dressing, money, knowledge, fame etc and crown yourself. You deserve the crown to. I personally tipped Brazil or Argentina to win the world cup but finally, Spain won even after their poor start. A poor start doesn't mean all is over or lost as it happened to Spain when they lost their opening match. It is only an encouragement and a caution that you must put in more effort even though the final say lies with the Lord. We are all born winners so prepare to live a life of winners from today.

Have a blessed weekend and please eat very well before blowing my vuvuzela.
Stay blessed.

BLOGGER REVEALED

With so many imagination going on about how I look like in the mind of my readers, I decided to reveal myself today. This is a picture I took a week ago when I attended a wedding ceremony of a colleague I work with.

Do you want to know more about me, ask in the comment and I will tell you or you want more pictures? Don't worry, just ask.
With so many desires and wishes regarding who I want to be in future, I really want to be a motivational speaker and speak to both the youth and the old encouraging them to find a good thing in what they do or certain situations they find themselves in as well as to give them hope through the words of my mouth and put a smile back on their faces assuring them all is not lost and that there is someone up there who loves and cares for them. Its my heart desire now and achieving it will bring me joy. Anyway, I had a blessed weekend and I strongly believe yours was also a weekend of testimony.
Welcome to a new week, work hard, enjoy whatever you do, add value to someones life and stay blessed.

More ahead.......................

NOT JUST FOR THE FUN BUT LESSONS AS WELL. (PART 1)

We thank God for a successful world cup for the first time on African soil. Which ever stage your country got to, I say congratulations. I hope we were not just following it for the fun sake but learning lessons as well. This post seems to bring our attention to the lessons that appeared indirectly before and during the game and see how we can learn from it as much as possible.

First, do you remember how France qualified for the world cup? I don't know how much involved you are in football but please for the sake of our studies find out how they qualified to play at this year's world cup. They qualified with a controversial goal when they played against Ireland. Now that was before the world cup. When they came for the world cup, it was a disgrace. They did not even win a single match and there were so many reports of confussion at their camp. This tells us that Gods time is the best. We should learn to do everything fairly. We need not to rush in life to get things at all cost. We may be pushed to use evil ways and after we've had what we want the disgrace that follows will be unbearable. When its not your time, simply wait. God knows best and why. No need to rush or lean on your own understanding. Do not cheat or steal your way through. In all your dealings, be free from cheat. If I were to be a player of Ireland playing with France by then, I can't imagine my reactions after Thiery Henry himself confirmed the handball.

In life, things that were attained through foul means always disappear into thin air with no trace and sometimes or usually they come with their own troubles but never leave with them. The disgrace they carry along is huge. The shame is heavy. God knows best. All we need is patience. When it is your time, why not, you will get it. It happens everywhere whether in the bus, school, in our homes and more especially at our various work places when we need promotion etc. We do everything including telling lies etc about people so that we can get the chance to get to the top position when they are eventually sacked. Life is a step-by-step affair. No need to rush my sister or brother and also on the other hand when you are robbed off something, it hurts but never curse the one who robbed you or say eveil about him or her but thank God because for all you should know, God is saving you from a calamity or trouble that lies ahead. When God opens the door, no one dare shut it!!!

To be continued...............

OUR THOUGHTS

Once again we have come to another blessed weekend and am very happy. Am not lazy anyway but you agree with me sometimes we must leave all this office stuff behind and have a good rest.

Are you supprised at our title today? Please don't be but let us consider one or two things. Our thoughts. Everything we do in this world comes from our thoughts. Its our thinking that we translate into our actions. How vast do you think? Have you set imaginary boundries for yourself in life? Sometimes it amazes me when I hear people say as for me, I can't do this or that, I can't win that job looking at the level of people I attended the interview with, I can't build a house of this kind etc. These are all imaginary boundries we have set ourselves and surely they have an effect on how far we can go.

Until you change your style of thinking, until you break those imaginary walls around your thinking, until you desire to move further than what you see as your own limit in life you are bound to be where you are. T.S. Eliot once said something that "Only those who risk going too far can possibly find how far one can go" and one Charles F. Kettering also said "It's amazing what ordinary people can do if they set out without preconceived notions" Look, imaginations is more important than knowledge. Yes because in this world if you don't know, you don't know. Knowledge is limited but imagination encircles the world. Think more than what you do now. Strive to go further. Its free. Refuse and break those Jericho walls you have around your thoughts and dreams.

As Pete Zafra said, "People who are afraid to fail can never experience the joys of success" and I agree with him. Put the fears away. They are stopping you. They are building a wall around your thoughts and dreams and also always remember that no matter how small, acknowledge the achievement because that is a source of motivation for you.

Have a blessed weekend and catch you soon.

A MUST READ CONVERSATION

GOD: Angels, do you know what I was just thinking about?

ANGELS: What were you thinking about?

GOD: Christians seem to have forgotten what kind of power they have

available and the devil keeps on deceiving them!

ANGELS: God, exactly what are you driving at?

GOD: I have made my children in such a way that when the people of the world are sitting, they would be standing, when the world is standing, they will stand out, when the world stands out, my children must be outstanding and when the devil dares the world to be outstanding, my people will be the standards to be used!

JESUS CHRIST: They (Christians) are also forgetting the words in Ephesians 1:3.

GOD: Please read it out!

ANGEL: PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO HAS BLESSED US IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN CHRIST.

ANGEL: So what do we do now since the end is almost near?

HOLY SPIRIT: My Presence is still among men and I will teach and remind the Christians of all that we have discussed. I will also make sure that they pass this message on!

JESUS CHRIST: I will also keep on interceding for them & stand in for them even in their weaknesses.

GOD: I will also make sure that I give to all those who ask of me, seek me and try to find me... The blessings I have promised them through My Son, Jesus Christ will be delivered to all those who discover that I, Jehovah, am ready to bless them! Not because of any special things that they have done, but just because I LOVE THEM!

JESUS CHRIST
: I will also give all my followers who are willing to pass this conversation on, enough strength to carry on!

ANGELS: We are all backing THE TRINITY and even the devil cannot stop

us! How funny! Christians are finally taking over and......

DEVIL (eavesdropping behind the gates): I hope you all heard! I will deploy more troops (demons) and make sure the Christians pray less, read their Bibles less, preach less and Make sure this mail does not move anywhere so that they don't spread this message! Also.....

YOU SURE HEARD THAT! THE DEVIL WILL MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PASS THIS ON BUT PROVE HIM WRONG AND SHOW HIM THE POWER YOU HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS AS A CHRISTIAN. PRAY MORE, STUDY THE WORD MORE AND PREACH THE WORD! DO NOT DISAPPOINT GOD ! PASS IT ON!

A THANKFUL HEART

Todays post is dedicated to God from the depths of my heart. I just don't know what to say but am very grateful to God for all He has done for me. I live on the last floor of a four storey building. I look down on the street especially during weekends when am at home and I see the dead being marched to the cemetary for burial.

From the first day of January 2010, I started thinking of the number of days we need to cover to reach the middle of the year. In my thoughts, it wasn't going to be easy but unknown to me, as the Bible said, thousand days is like one day before God. Soon, we have covered six months and we are in the middle of the year 2010 and its amazing. God has been faithful to me and I thank Him so much. I thank Him for the life of my family, my work, my life, my friends and everybody who in one way or the other is connected to me. I thank God so much for the lifes of all my blog readers. Am very grateful to God.

Throughout the six months we have covered in the year, I cannot say I have been sin-free. Surely, I have backslided in one way or the other, I have remained unfaithful in many ways to God but God has been faithful to me. I thank God so much for everything he has done for me. I wish I can show how emotional I am on this post but I am very grateful to God. I could have died or gotten myself involved in an accident but am alive. I have not spent a single day on the hospital bed this year and even from last two years and its all by His grace.

Again to you my blog readers, I say a big thank you to God for your life, the life of your friends and that of your family. Am happy to have you around. Some of you comment and I say thank you. Others I know read but don't comment and I say thank you as well.
Its my prayer that God will see us through the remaining six months of this year.
Have a blessed weekend till we read from each other.

THE MAGNETIC ASPECT IN YOU

" Selina was someone everybody loved to be with. She always had a word of encouragement for you anytime you pay her a visit" This were the words George said when asked why she likes Selina soo much.

One thing I have realized as I grew was that every human being in one way or the other has something I call "A MAGNETIC ASPECT" of that person. It is what attract others to you. What pulls people to come around you all the time. Examples of these things are character, the way you smile, words that comes out of our mouth, beauty/facial looks, educational level, religious background, money and even our blogs etc. They are many and we all have at least one. You may decide to link it to a talent but that is slightly different from what am talking about here.

Now, having this magnetic aspect is one thing and how you use it is also another. The question is how do you use it? Is it for good or bad, positive or negative? What effect does your beauty, smile, character, educational level, money, the way you talk, the nice meals you can prepare etc have on those around you. That is what pulls them close to you and what value do you add to their lives anytime they come even if they stay for a minute? Do you talk to them about God, encourage them when they are down, give them that second hand they need in their life, help them to change from their bad character if there is any or you just move about telling everybody this or that is my friend for fame?

My magnetic aspect, your magnetic aspect, our magnetic aspect. That gentleman, lady etc you call a friend is around you for a reason. You attracted him or her with that unique magnetic aspect of yours. Use it effectively and positively and be a blessing to those around you and a Glory unto God. Matthew 5:16 should tell us something.

This is our weekend special. Have a blessed weekend and stay blessed.

THE ONE TENTH FACTOR

Yes, the one tenth factor in our lives as christians these days. It is becoming difficult but faithfully doing it you will reap the results there off. Imagine a widow earning a little at the end of the month to cater for herself and her four children all in college with bills etc at the coner and you are telling her to practice the one tenth factor.

People have different views concerning when and how much should be paid as tithes. Some say it should be paid just when the money is received whiles others say it should be paid after all taxes etc have been deducted but no matter what the case is, the one tenth factor has to be met. Make the payment of this amount a habit and easy. I see it this way;

Firstly, see the payment as an INSURANCE contribution. Supprise huh? Don't be because after all, the best person to insure yourself, family and all belongings with is Jesus Christ. See Him as your insurance company which you must pay one tenth of your monthly salary or income to every month to renew the agreement.

Secondly, just see the payment of tithe as a form of savings which you do. If you find it difficult to pay, simply see it as a form of savings which you are doing towards your own future or the future of your children. At the end of every month, you save one tenth of your income. Its simple. After all, we are not to store up our treasures on earth but in Heaven.

The last one does not matter but you see it as paying God for looking after you through the month and all the good things he gave you and your family. After all, if it was a human being providing us with air to breath and life and we were to pay him one tenth of our salary or income at the end of every month, some of us would have paid in advance.

See tithe paying as any of the above and you will not be thinking when paying. Have you seen someone who used to work, earn little and was unable to save anything but is still living a good life? Have you asked yourself why and how? He paid his or her tithe and God is repaying him or her when he or she was in need. God does not need our money and He loves a chearful giver. Silver and Gold belongs to Him so why worry? I tell you, the results are just great but one thing, if you will do it, please do it faithfully. You can't cheat God so please don't try it. Do you remember Ananias and Sapphira in the Bible? Read Acts 5 chapter 1 to 11.

Do it faithfully and you will never regret it.
Have a blessed weekend, thanks for passing by to read and stay blessed.

RAINY MIDWEEK

Its been some weeks now since I had a post in midweek. All my post comes only during the weekend.
Anyway, there is nothing wrong and I am very fine. Just a little busy in the office but things are going on well as God had directed and purposed.

Its been raining almost all day in some parts of my country, Ghana making the day very dull but I think its just a practical experience of what is written in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 vrs 1-9 which talks about a season or a time for everything under the sun. Gods ways are not the ways of man.
God knows best and we only have to learn and understand His ways.

I strongly believe you are also doing great by Gods Grace. God bless and be with us all and please don't miss the coming weekend special as I will be talking about .................

Thanks for passing by. Stay blessed

WEEKEND SPECIAL

This weeks weekend special comes a day earlier because I will be out office on Friday.

We always say we are running the race of life but life is actually not a race. Life to me is like a book. We read it page by page. You can not live on Monday and straight away live Thursday without living Tuesday and Wednesday. The same way you must start from page one of any book to the last page.
Life is not a rush. Each page of a book has its own unique page number and contents same as each day has its own unique lessons to teach us. The difference is that with a book, you can flip the page and read the next page but you can not flip the day. You must live the current one to the fullest.

This brings about "FAITH". A friend describes faith as " taking the steps without even seeing the stircase" . It is you flying when you have no wings. Yes. It is well when even the current situation seems to be the worst. And one thing, its not just saying it but you holding on to it and taking a step towards it. That is faith. It is a practical thing. And I tell you with faith, you can live Thursday from Monday without living Teusday and Wednesday.
A fellow worker said if he should wake up one day to hear on the news that a body believed to be the body of Jesus Christ has been found, he will end up killing himself. People will laugh at him and he will be left with nothing to hold on to.

That is it. Believing in God for a brighter future and a well prepared tomorrow without even seeing Him. Life is not a rush. To me, it is keeping the faith and living it day by day.
Have a blessed and a wonderful weekend

BRINGING OUT THE JABEZ IN YOU

Prayer of Jabez: What is it?
The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain.

Prayer of Jabez: Why is it important?

The Prayer of Jabez reveals that Jabez understands what many people do not -- there is only one God and He should be the center of our work God wants to bless every life. But, we must first make the choice to invite God into our life and ask for His blessings. Jabez wants to succeed and increase his sphere of influence for God. The specific sphere of influence is not important. What is important is that when we want to reach for goals and accomplishments that we have God on our side. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." It is critical to understand and practice this in a close relationship with God. Further, it is equally important to stay close to God and rely on His continued support and guidance throughout life. Jabez clearly knows and prays specifically to the One who can protect him from evil and pain -- God. At the end of the verse it is clear that God approved of this faithful prayer by granting it. It is also important to see that Jabez was passionate in his plea to God: "He cried out to the God of Israel." God wants to hear that we need Him through passionate prayer.

Prayer of Jabez: What does it mean to you?
The Prayer of Jabez reminds us that everybody struggles with choosing to rely on himself or God. Whether you are a focused Christian
or just searching to find out more about God, life is a growing process. However, it is very clear in reviewing the Prayer of Jabez, as well as the rest of the Bible, that God is faithful in caring for those who seek Him. Jabez sets a great example of how God wants everyone to come to Him through constant and passionate prayer. If you are looking to start a relationship with God or improve your existing relationship with Him, start with prayer. God answers prayers when you trust Him (1 Chronicles 5:20). Prayers to God also please Him (Proverbs 15:8). We can all learn from Jabez and faithfully pray to God always in everything that we do.

Motivational piece: All you need to change your situation from pain to blessings like Jabez did is prayer. Its never too late. Have a blessed a weekend.

WEEKEND SPECIAL

Before we talk today, I think I have to give an update on my health. Am fine and much stronger and I thank you all for your prayers and comments.
In Ghana, one thing children love doing very much when you visit the rural areas in the evening is sitting around an elderly person listening to stories and today am going to tell you a story.

There once lived two friends in a village. Their names were Yaw and Atta. They were poor and had difficulties even providing for their families. Yaw who couldn't bear the living situation any longer decided to see a native doctor who after performing some rituals made Yaw the richest man in the village. Yaw had everything now and enhanced his social status within the village.
Atta his friend who couldn't stand the shame and the comparison people were doing with him decided to also visit the witch doctor. The native doctor told Atta he will turn him into a vulture for three days after which he can enjoy all his money. Atta agreed and was turned into a vulture. On the last day for him to be turned back into a human being, the native doctor died and Atta remained a vulture for the rest of his life.

What do we learn from this story?

Firstly, two people can be suffering from the same sickness but you will need different drugs or medicine to cure them. Let us stop the copying. We must learn to be unique in life. Someone was crying whiles praying and the pastor gave a prophecy about him or her. You also need a prophecy and because of this, you have also started crying whenever you are praying. Please be unique. Your case may be different.

Secondly, stop listening to people around you. They will surely talk. Atta shouldn't have listened to those around him. People can talk and they will talk but you need to be focused in life. Don't be like a piece of paper to be blown away by any wind.

And lastly, let us stop by-passing God. The native doctor died so why should you seek for help from someone who doesn't even know when he or she will die. Turn to God who has power over the witch hunter. Stay calm and pray to God. Work hard and God will surely reward you with riches you cannot count.

Have a blessed weekend

MY WEEKEND

I don't want to conclude and describe the weekend as a bad weekend but it wasn't all that smooth.

During the weekend, I was very sick. I had a very bad headache and it was very worse on the saturday and sunday. I went to the office on saturday to do some studies but things were not turning out right for me. On sunday, I slept the whole day and was not able to attend church service in the morning.

Later in the evening I did my best to attend a Bible studies meeting. My mom is the worrying type therefore I did not tell her even though she asked me several times if everything was well with me.
Thankfully, am better by Gods grace and was able to come to work today even though there are some occasional cold and pains.

Hope you had a blessed weekend and did not miss out on church service as I did.

Have a wonderful week.
God bless us all.

WEEKEND SPECIAL

Once again another special weekend is here with us and am very happy you and I are counted among the living. Its by Grace and God has been faithful to us.

We are going to complete our lessons from the parable of the talents today. Todays lesson is what we all know. WE SHALL BE REWARDED ACCORDING TO OUR DEEDS AND WORKS.

From the parable we are studying, the master gave a reward to his servants when he came back from his journey. The same will happen when our Lord Jesus returns in His Glory. We will be called to account for and be rewarded accordingly. It doesn't matter whether we were blessed with five, two or one talent. It will not matter whether you were blessed with five, two or one child.

Whatever we are doing, there is a reward. You feel you were cheated so you have decided not to work hard or you have enough money so you are "sowing on the land you should not sow", there is a reward for everything we are doing today.
Others never had the oppurtunity but we had it through Grace. Let us live a life of faith, hardwork, appreciation and love. Let us put into good use what we have been blessed with.

You will be rewarded as to how you used that beautiful sweet voice, money, patience, teaching skill etc that you were blessed with including your kids God gave you.
The good will be rewarded and so is the bad.

Thanks for reading always. I hope you were blessed and I thank God for that. I also thank you very much for your time and comments. They mean a lot to me. God bless you.
Have a blessed weekend.

LESSON 4 - THE PARABLE OF THE TALENTS

Todays post which is also our weekend special will focus on the fouth lesson as we try to learn the lessons we can derive from the PARABLE OF THE TALENTS and motivate ourselves as best as we can.

GOD OR OUR MASTER KNOWS BEST is the title of todays lesson and we shall centre it on Matthew 25 verse 15. (Reading from the King James Version)," ................ to everyone according to his serveral ability".
This tells us clearly that the one we serve knows us well enough. He knows our weekness and our strenghts. In those early stages of our lifes when we were kids, our parents try so share things between we the children and sometimes I remember very well I cried because I felt I had the smallest portion.

God will never test us with temptations we can't overcome in life. He knows our abilities and He knows our end right from the begining. My friends, let us stop the complaining for a while and appreciate what we have. I think the last servant never appreciated what he was given hence he saw nothing good in what he had. For all we should know, the master already knows him to be lazy but still gave him the chance.

Our master knows us. He knows you very well. You feel God has not been fair to you because He gave you just one child and gave others three etc. I tell you today that He knows your abilities and I tell you He will never make a mistake of blessing you or giving you a task that is more than you can do.

Remember, a student in stage six will never be given a mathematics question belonging to a degree or masters students to solve by his teacher. His teacher understands and knows his students abilities. The same is our God.

Its time we stop the complaining and limit or stop the use of "why" when talking to God. He knows our abilities so instead, let us go to Him in prayer and ask Him to teach us how to effectively use things He has blessed us with.

God be with us all and have a blessed weekend.
