THE MAGNETIC ASPECT IN YOU

" Selina was someone everybody loved to be with. She always had a word of encouragement for you anytime you pay her a visit" This were the words George said when asked why she likes Selina soo much.

One thing I have realized as I grew was that every human being in one way or the other has something I call "A MAGNETIC ASPECT" of that person. It is what attract others to you. What pulls people to come around you all the time. Examples of these things are character, the way you smile, words that comes out of our mouth, beauty/facial looks, educational level, religious background, money and even our blogs etc. They are many and we all have at least one. You may decide to link it to a talent but that is slightly different from what am talking about here.

Now, having this magnetic aspect is one thing and how you use it is also another. The question is how do you use it? Is it for good or bad, positive or negative? What effect does your beauty, smile, character, educational level, money, the way you talk, the nice meals you can prepare etc have on those around you. That is what pulls them close to you and what value do you add to their lives anytime they come even if they stay for a minute? Do you talk to them about God, encourage them when they are down, give them that second hand they need in their life, help them to change from their bad character if there is any or you just move about telling everybody this or that is my friend for fame?

My magnetic aspect, your magnetic aspect, our magnetic aspect. That gentleman, lady etc you call a friend is around you for a reason. You attracted him or her with that unique magnetic aspect of yours. Use it effectively and positively and be a blessing to those around you and a Glory unto God. Matthew 5:16 should tell us something.

This is our weekend special. Have a blessed weekend and stay blessed.

THE ONE TENTH FACTOR

Yes, the one tenth factor in our lives as christians these days. It is becoming difficult but faithfully doing it you will reap the results there off. Imagine a widow earning a little at the end of the month to cater for herself and her four children all in college with bills etc at the coner and you are telling her to practice the one tenth factor.

People have different views concerning when and how much should be paid as tithes. Some say it should be paid just when the money is received whiles others say it should be paid after all taxes etc have been deducted but no matter what the case is, the one tenth factor has to be met. Make the payment of this amount a habit and easy. I see it this way;

Firstly, see the payment as an INSURANCE contribution. Supprise huh? Don't be because after all, the best person to insure yourself, family and all belongings with is Jesus Christ. See Him as your insurance company which you must pay one tenth of your monthly salary or income to every month to renew the agreement.

Secondly, just see the payment of tithe as a form of savings which you do. If you find it difficult to pay, simply see it as a form of savings which you are doing towards your own future or the future of your children. At the end of every month, you save one tenth of your income. Its simple. After all, we are not to store up our treasures on earth but in Heaven.

The last one does not matter but you see it as paying God for looking after you through the month and all the good things he gave you and your family. After all, if it was a human being providing us with air to breath and life and we were to pay him one tenth of our salary or income at the end of every month, some of us would have paid in advance.

See tithe paying as any of the above and you will not be thinking when paying. Have you seen someone who used to work, earn little and was unable to save anything but is still living a good life? Have you asked yourself why and how? He paid his or her tithe and God is repaying him or her when he or she was in need. God does not need our money and He loves a chearful giver. Silver and Gold belongs to Him so why worry? I tell you, the results are just great but one thing, if you will do it, please do it faithfully. You can't cheat God so please don't try it. Do you remember Ananias and Sapphira in the Bible? Read Acts 5 chapter 1 to 11.

Do it faithfully and you will never regret it.
Have a blessed weekend, thanks for passing by to read and stay blessed.

RAINY MIDWEEK

Its been some weeks now since I had a post in midweek. All my post comes only during the weekend.
Anyway, there is nothing wrong and I am very fine. Just a little busy in the office but things are going on well as God had directed and purposed.

Its been raining almost all day in some parts of my country, Ghana making the day very dull but I think its just a practical experience of what is written in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 vrs 1-9 which talks about a season or a time for everything under the sun. Gods ways are not the ways of man.
God knows best and we only have to learn and understand His ways.

I strongly believe you are also doing great by Gods Grace. God bless and be with us all and please don't miss the coming weekend special as I will be talking about .................

Thanks for passing by. Stay blessed

WEEKEND SPECIAL

This weeks weekend special comes a day earlier because I will be out office on Friday.

We always say we are running the race of life but life is actually not a race. Life to me is like a book. We read it page by page. You can not live on Monday and straight away live Thursday without living Tuesday and Wednesday. The same way you must start from page one of any book to the last page.
Life is not a rush. Each page of a book has its own unique page number and contents same as each day has its own unique lessons to teach us. The difference is that with a book, you can flip the page and read the next page but you can not flip the day. You must live the current one to the fullest.

This brings about "FAITH". A friend describes faith as " taking the steps without even seeing the stircase" . It is you flying when you have no wings. Yes. It is well when even the current situation seems to be the worst. And one thing, its not just saying it but you holding on to it and taking a step towards it. That is faith. It is a practical thing. And I tell you with faith, you can live Thursday from Monday without living Teusday and Wednesday.
A fellow worker said if he should wake up one day to hear on the news that a body believed to be the body of Jesus Christ has been found, he will end up killing himself. People will laugh at him and he will be left with nothing to hold on to.

That is it. Believing in God for a brighter future and a well prepared tomorrow without even seeing Him. Life is not a rush. To me, it is keeping the faith and living it day by day.
Have a blessed and a wonderful weekend

BRINGING OUT THE JABEZ IN YOU

Prayer of Jabez: What is it?
The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain.

Prayer of Jabez: Why is it important?

The Prayer of Jabez reveals that Jabez understands what many people do not -- there is only one God and He should be the center of our work God wants to bless every life. But, we must first make the choice to invite God into our life and ask for His blessings. Jabez wants to succeed and increase his sphere of influence for God. The specific sphere of influence is not important. What is important is that when we want to reach for goals and accomplishments that we have God on our side. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." It is critical to understand and practice this in a close relationship with God. Further, it is equally important to stay close to God and rely on His continued support and guidance throughout life. Jabez clearly knows and prays specifically to the One who can protect him from evil and pain -- God. At the end of the verse it is clear that God approved of this faithful prayer by granting it. It is also important to see that Jabez was passionate in his plea to God: "He cried out to the God of Israel." God wants to hear that we need Him through passionate prayer.

Prayer of Jabez: What does it mean to you?
The Prayer of Jabez reminds us that everybody struggles with choosing to rely on himself or God. Whether you are a focused Christian
or just searching to find out more about God, life is a growing process. However, it is very clear in reviewing the Prayer of Jabez, as well as the rest of the Bible, that God is faithful in caring for those who seek Him. Jabez sets a great example of how God wants everyone to come to Him through constant and passionate prayer. If you are looking to start a relationship with God or improve your existing relationship with Him, start with prayer. God answers prayers when you trust Him (1 Chronicles 5:20). Prayers to God also please Him (Proverbs 15:8). We can all learn from Jabez and faithfully pray to God always in everything that we do.

Motivational piece: All you need to change your situation from pain to blessings like Jabez did is prayer. Its never too late. Have a blessed a weekend.
